I have never actually said that before in my life, ever. I have, though, sung it. When the news of Whitney Houston’s death flooded the realms of media, my heart fell heavy. I never purchased an album of hers, nor did I really follow her whereabouts, but she played a part in the soundtrack to my life. I remember an old cassette tape my mom bought me at one of the many garage sales we had been to on that particular saturday, sometime in the mid 1980’s. I listened to that tape for months and just loved it. I am pretty sure nobody would really want to dance with me, for I am a terrible dancer, but the song impacts me by taking me back to memories that undoubtly have shaped me to be the person I am today. Thanks 1980’s!
